ACCESSIBILITY INFO:
Sir Henry’s is a 100% outdoor haunt in the woods with uneven ground and soft dirt for terrain. There is dim lighting, exposed vines and tripping hazards. Jump scares, flashing lights and artificial fog. We highly recommend considering these factors before visiting, if you use mobility equipment or have other health triggers. You will enter the haunt at your own risk with these factors in mind.

That being said, we have some information for accessibility guests below, to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Feel free to contact us for an accessibility discount.

CHECK IN PROCESS: When checking in, if you have a mobility device, you do not have to navigate the switchbacks. Please approach a staff member at the entry area and state that you need accessibility entry, so that someone can come to you to scan your ticket, give you wristbands and offer you entry through the main gate instead of a turnstile. Otherwise, our timed entry slots should ensure all other guests visiting will not be in our check in line for a long duration, if you have stamina concerns.

RESTROOMS: We will have a large handicap port-o-potty outside of the main gate by the ticket area. While we have hand washing stations, we only have port-o-potties on property and no restroom attendants. Please gauge your comfort level for using these conveniences - we highly recommend utilizing a traditional, accessible restroom at a business nearby before visiting, for your best enjoyment.

PARKING: When being directed to park, roll down your window and state if you have a mobility device for closer parking to the entrance. It is helpful if you have a state-issued disability parking tag hanging from your mirror, as it is dark and our parking attendants have limited visibility. Staff will accommodate you as best as possible. State provided DV plates at the front of the car also assist with this measure.

ALLERGY FRIENDLY FOOD: While we make every effort to offer a variety of food and beverages on property, we may not always have a full list of ingredients for fresh prepared snacks and drinks. We do have canned, bottled and packaged goods - ask staff at these stands to please read the ingredients first before purchasing and they will be happy to help. We recommend getting yourself a full meal before or after your Sir Henry’s visit at an establishment that will be able to accommodate food allergy requests fully.

MOBILITY SCOOTERS: If possible, park your mobility vehicle inside and transfer to a walker or cane or crutches, for terrain challenges at our haunt. You will be able to park a mobility scooter or electric wheelchair at the haunt for transfer. Due to natural hazards of an outdoor event, safety concerns and design of facilities, mobility scooters are not ideal or recommended for this event. We apologize for this inconvenience.

LINES: When coming through with a mobility device, such as recommended canes/crutches/walkers, or lightweight wheelchairs, please use our front of line entrances to ensure navigating less switchbacks. If you do not have a mobility device but you have other concerns about stamina for regular lines, please see our staff for other reasonable accommodations. We are mindful of invisible disabilities and please ask that guests contact us before the night of their visit to make these arrangements ahead of time, or even before purchasing their tickets, to guarantee the best possible experience.

PREGNANT GUESTS: We highly recommend those who are pregnant discuss with their doctor the safety of a haunted attraction with limited visibility, tripping hazards, sudden loud noises, jump scares, exposure to chemicals such as artificial fog, and other potential dangers. Those who attend our event willingly when they are aware they are pregnant, or unaware of a pregnancy, assume all liability and are included under Sir Henry’s regular duty of care for all customers.

FLASHING LIGHTS & SENSORY ISSUES: This is a scary attraction with loud noises, artificial fog, flashing strobe lights, and jump scares. We are not always able to guarantee a “no scare” experience, and cannot turn off effects, but when coming through trails, let our attendant who pulses in guests know that someone in the party has sensory issue. We can communicate as best as possible to the actors within to tone down the jumpscares and allow more time for pulsed pacing. We also have real hay on our hayride vehicles, if you have hay fever concerns.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT: While we have different sized ramps for transfer onto the hayride vehicles, our trails will be challenging for mobility equipment. Lightweight and folding wheelchairs available through major retailers off the shelf that are utilized for outdoor activities and do not serve as a primary mode of mobility are recommended, if wheels are required. Custom wheelchairs should be parked with transfer to lightweight chairs, canes, crutches, or a folding walker. Average size standard walkers, folding walkers, and knee walkers will fit. Walking canes, manual walkers, and crutches are ideal. Anything with wheels will encounter challenges with our soft dirt and changing terrain levels, and will be brought through trails at your own risk.

NOT RECOMMENDED: Due to legitimate safety concerns, facility design, and operational charecteristics, we cannot accomodate the following through the trails/mazes - powered wheelchairs, mobility scooters, segways, bariatric wheelchairs, sport wheelchairs, beach wheelchairs, and Hippocampe all terrain wheelchairs. For those with invisible disabilities, those sensitive to strobe lights, artificial fog, sudden loud noises, poor lighting, and claustrophobic conditions should consider these factors before participating in this experience.

CRITICAL NOTES ON TRAILS: All trails have uneven elevation, natural hazards, and dirt of varying texture. Weather will also alter these conditions, as we are an outdoor venue. Signage is posted when flashing lights are in use. We apologize for this inconvenience and recommend reaching out for an accessibility discount if you still wish to visit Sir Henry's Haunted Trail.
